I Like NetBSD, or Why Portability Matters
- deleted 2y ago[deleted]
- brandhout 2y agoI love that NetBSD is still going strong, I like the system but it does not really have a professional use case anymore. Not that it matters but it would be great to run NetBSD on a server or desktop and have the performance and driver support not be completely nonexistent. The portability aspect is cool but Linux runs on more platforms nowadays
- jmclnx 2y agoI think NetBSD is still the easiest to port of all other systems. I read its HAL (hardware Abstraction Layer) makes things much easier. It is just they have a far smaller set of developers. Note, Posted via NetBSD 10.0 on a Thinkpad T430.
