Quite frankly, I'm really bothered by the HIV drug commercial that says that it makes the virus "undetectable"
So you're saying that it's still there, but you'll test negative for your partner? Disingenuous and disgusting.
- _qua 2y agoUndetectable = Untransmittable has been a mantra in the field for years because there is good data that people who have 0 detectable circulating copies of the virus cannot transmit it.
- marklubi 2y agoInteresting, can you provide some sources for that claim? Haven't heard that before
- _qua 2y agoI mean just Google that term and you will get a lot of information. There are multiple public health campaigns regarding it

The second link shows transmission rates of 0.00 (zero transmission) in every study of many studies for undetectable.
