  I'd wonder if this was a hack. Seems like a decent attempt at phishing. Actually that'd be far better than if it were really Crowdstrike thinking $10 would resolve this.

    I think op was being cheeky. Many people uninformed on the outage assumed the CS issue was breach/hack-related. So I believe OP cleverly circled that back around to the gift card. WP.

  They obviously didn't plan for this error. Just like they didn't plan for their testing infrastructure to have its infamous error.
