Electric Flights Available to General Public at Maastricht Aachen Airport

- leonheld 2y agoLovely, but the RE18 and Euroregio trains are wonderful, comfortable and cheap. And will drop you smack down in the city center of Aachen, Liège and Maastricht.

- NeoTar 2y agoFor anyone lacking European geography knowledge, the airports involved are very close - Maastricht Aachen airport to Liege Airport is a 40 minute (49km, 30mile) drive.
- crote 2y agoNote that this is literally a publicity stunt. The flights offered are 30-40km (19-24mi) straight-line distance, and they are intentionally calling it an "experience". It's one person, no luggage, and only available for two months. Maastricht has an once-per-hour train service to Liege which takes 30 minutes, and a twice-per-hour train service to Aachen which takes 50 minutes. The same can be done by car in 25 minutes and 45 minutes. Take into account travel to/from the airport, and it takes longer than just going by car or train.
- Gys 2y agoI totally agree. But for the full picture, transport in a 15 km radius is included. I guess this is interesting for high paid jobs traveling frequently between these cities.
- user568439 2y agoI think of it more like a demo and also a way to gather data while allocating the costs to the tourist.
- xnx 2y agoSeems like a cool tech demo. It would be more interesting if it were a more exotic form of electric aircraft (e.g. drone like), but I'd still try it if the price were right. Does anyone have the price? I wasn't keen on installing the .apk directly from their site.
- Gys 2y agoI read the price is around 120 euro and 160 for return. Incl transport in a 15 km radius from the airports.
- cnntth 2y ago"What is the price for an experience? The price for a single trip will be €120,00. The price for a return trip will be €160,00. This is part of the total cost price based on the EASA cost-sharing principle." From the website's FAQ
- trueismywork 2y agoThat's huge. I can fly to US 20 times in that cost..
- senkora 2y agoThe comma is a decimal point
- Kim_Bruning 2y agoRequires an app to reserve a flight. Wat?
