Looking at this team's project at github.com/reworkd, it clearly tells the maturity of the product as well as the team. Emoji driven development. Emoji's for all commit messages. Monkeys, bananas, rockets, fireworks, you name it, they have it in their commit message.

- PUSH_AX 2y agoCommit messages are overrated.
- internetter 2y agoNo they aren't. Commit messages show 1. Forward thinking 2. Maturity 3. Temperance All important traits in engineers and founders
- PUSH_AX 2y agoCase in point. They show none of these things. I'm not even sure how a commit message could convey these things.
- mulmboy 2y agosure it's casual but the things you're pointing out are merely an alternative style and don't suggest lack of maturity. judging a book by its cover
- wg0 2y agoJust wondering what's the end game of these AI startups. YC would reject many other reasonably sound ideas I hear but this space is highly speculative and I don't see any such down-the-stream-chatgpt-wrapper startup reaching a billion dollar IPO.
- shawabawa3 2y agothe emoji's seem fine instead of `bug: fix blah`, it's `:bug:: fix blah`, which, honestly actually seems clearer and easier to parse at a glance edit: hacker news doesn't support unicode emojis
