This is my thought, too. My wife has the charging concern when I bring up buying a Tesla as her next car. She's worried about running out of juice but she only drives 30 miles round trip to work every day plus maybe a grocery run or a similar trip to relatives. She asks about going on longer range trips and I say that's why our second car would be a hybrid, such as the Prius I have.
