Ask HN: What are Google Software Engineer levels, expectations and salaries?
Can people that work in Google as software engineers shed some light here on level, expectations and salary ranges?

- alexrashkov 2y agoThanks for sharing. It's great I can see the salaries. I have an interview coming in in 4 weeks, not sure about the level but based on the above and the JD looks like it will be for an L4.

- thelastparadise 2y agoHe's true though?

Minimal hand-holding. - L4: Be fully self-sufficient, and lead small projects on your own. - L5: Have team-level and/or some org level technical leadership. Find and lead large impact projects yourself. Potential TL. - L6: Have consistent org level impact that can affect many teams. Be able to set long term technical vision. - L7: Who knows
