It sounds like this may be similar to using signals for error handling in a Unix system?
- steveklabnik 2y agoIn some sense, yes, this is kind of like the kernel sending SIGKILL to a process.

- saagarjha 2y agoWhich some kernels do, actually. Not Linux but the ones that think you’re messing with things you shouldn’t be will SIGKILL you at the earliest opportunity.
- josephcsible 2y agoLinux will sometimes, e.g., if a process violates seccomp.
