- dbreunig 2y agoYes it does: CDLA. A big deal, we hope it unlocks lots of new creations.
- qwertox 2y ago`python3 -m pip install -U overturemaps` (as specified in the README) -> "ERROR: No matching distribution found for overturemaps" > ERROR: Ignored the following versions that require a different python version: 0.1.0 Requires-Python <4.0,>=3.11; 0.2.0 Requires-Python <4.0,>=3.11; 0.3.0 Requires-Python <4.0,>=3.11 > ERROR: Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement overturemaps (from versions: none) > ERROR: No matching distribution found for overturemaps So the new 0.3.0 requires at least Python 3.11, which seems excessively high, probably expecting the use of Conda (PackagesNotFoundError) or Nix (No packages found).
- simonw 2y agoSurprising how much useful geographic information can be had from some of the larger LLMs. I frequently use ChatGPT with GPT-4 and Code Interpreter for little GIS experiments. Having it generate a CSV or SQLite database with a bunch of cities each with an accurate-enough latitude and longitude is pretty convenient.
- tingletech 2y ago"POI" expands to what, Place of Interest?
- dbreunig 2y agoPoint of Interest.
- urbandw311er 2y agoI guess any number of piped commands are “just one line” if you never type a carriage return…

- urbandw311er 2y agoTouché
- przemub 2y agoUnless you're on classic Mac OS if we are being pedantic :-)
