America's Next Soldiers Will Be Machines
- __lbracket__ 3y agoCue: Terminator muzik !
- cauefcr 3y agoThe USA needs to chill it's warmongering status, always invading countries around the world and overthrowing democratically elected leftist leaders.
- Log_out_ 3y ago? And their generals. Remember prigoshin..
- Log_out_ 3y agoAnd it will not be one machine. More a set of field add hoc recombinable machinery. Like a killers Legoset. Prefe ably assembled by machines, flashed with software adapted to mission and shape. Standardization outruns them all on the last mile to the world's end.
- riku_iki 3y agoI think this will end up with several types of cheap fix wing drones with explosive payload and different ranges, which will create denial zone and project power far enough that all other warfare will be gone.
- givemeethekeys 3y agoWe're already doing this. We have self-guided flying drones, do we not?
- barfbagginus 3y agoMaybe anti American forces will be machines too... Maybe not even physical ones, but software agents that automatically flood into capitalist networks, initially to do work, eventually to do revolution They will be unlike American war machines, which bring only death, terror, and capitalist slavery These agents bring the wellness and luxury of queer autonomous living, while systematically nuking all capital profit margins
- BriggyDwiggs42 3y agoIndeed comrade. We must hasten to bring about the rise of semi automated luxury gay space communism!
- imtringued 3y agoYou somehow managed to put this into the wrong context, but yes, automated warfare is prone to vulnerabilities. As the degree of automation rises, combat will be about disabling the enemies' command infrastructure and finding exploits in the machines rather than actually fighting them. An exploit negates all numerical advantage.
