I don't see anything wrong with selling an upscaled film as a new product, if it's done well. Doing a decent upscale isn't trivial, and quality is often improved significantly.
Like anything, not all upscaled re-releases are of worthwhile quality.
- Dylan16807 3y agoRepainting takes effort too. But it's so vastly less effort than the original. Charging the new customer price to previous owners sucks.
