any ES linter written in rust?
- leosanchez 3y agoCheck biome or oxlint. I don't think any of them support all the rules of eslint
- qudat 3y agoI've been using biome since it was called rome. It's an excellent formatter / linter and reduces the configuration down to a single npm install and a single json file. I highly recommend people try it out and ditch the configuration nightmare that is eslint.
- leosanchez 3y agoPerformance is insane too
- toastercat 3y agoIt is great, just wish the install size wasn't so huge (40MB on Linux).
- HumanOstrich 3y agoWhy does it have to be written in rust?
- silverwind 3y agoGotta go fast.
- winrid 3y agoIt doesn't seem like anyone is working on JS tooling in C++. Some projects used Go but switched to Rust... I guess the object lifetimes are probably pretty simple so it's a no brainer.
- thiht 3y agoTools written in Rust (or Go for that matter) generally offer an extremely good user experience: good documentation, well organized CLIs with autocompletion, great performance, easy to install… If I can, I always try to install the Rust or Go version of a tool instead of the Python or Node version.
