biggest win for me as a senior engineer is the ability to quickly prototype something in a new framework/language. In these cases, I generally know what I want and what "good" looks like - but I'm missing context on the exact incantations for the framework. Alternatively, maybe I'm missing some best practices - or the best practices I know are no longer applicable. GPT-4 is fantastic at taking a detailed requirement/question from an expert user and giving a good answer. Curiously, it sometimes doesn't respond well if it perceives one as a non-expert user - it'll start lecturing on BS, or avoid giving an answer.
