NASA direct coverage of the 2024 eclipse
- heresie-dabord 3y agoAlso useful, an interactive map of the path of the eclipse: https://eclipse2024.org/eclipse_cities/statemap.php https://eclipse2024.org/eclipse_cities/statemap.php
- jader201 3y agoI like this one better, allowing you to click a location for the exact times/durations of the eclipse for that location: http://xjubier.free.fr/en/site_pages/solar_eclipses/TSE_2024_GoogleMapFull.html http://xjubier.free.fr/en/site_pages/solar_eclipses/TSE_2024...
- Larrikin 3y agoAny guides on total eclipses around the world? Didn't realize this was the last one in the US for another twenty years. But it seems like they happen atleast once a year somewhere.

- infinitedata 3y agoQuite limited list from NASA. Here is another option with more for the next 10 years https://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/list.html https://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/list.html
- bsilvereagle 3y agoAlso useful, cloud forecasts with the eclipse path: https://www.pivotalweather.com/eclipse2024/?m=srefens&p=cloudcover_tle_2-mean&r=conus https://www.pivotalweather.com/eclipse2024/?m=srefens&p=clou...
- maroonblazer 3y agoLooking at 'Cloud Thickness' it would seem there are very few places in N. America where the eclipse will be unobstructed. Am I reading that right?
- vundercind 3y agoI think blue is more-obstructed. Which is a really confusing choice.
- jader201 3y agoThank you, I was so confused. Why in the world would they use “blue = more cloud coverage, white/gray = less”?
- blantonl 3y agoI'm looking forward to seeing GEOS weather satellite images of the shadow crossing the united states here: https://rammb-slider.cira.colostate.edu/ https://rammb-slider.cira.colostate.edu/
- temp0826 3y agoNASA's EPIC DISCOVR mission will also be a good one to watch. This satellite watches the earth always on the sunlit side. https://epic.gsfc.nasa.gov/ https://epic.gsfc.nasa.gov/
