New updates after a token few V2 updates though… Honestly, expect the worst here. Even if they don’t announce as such, it is most definitely in the minds of every executive walking around there.
- joking 3y agoI loved that affinity hadn't jumped on the subscription bandwagon, I hope that they maintain their philosophy.

- skilled 3y agoThe beginning of the end for a one-off license it appears. I don't see why Canva would green-light V3 as a non-subscription service. And that makes me wonder if Canva will be able to compete with the likes of Adobe/Figma/Sketch. The wording of the announcement is basically a forewarning that change is going to come sooner or later. I don't see this as a "charitable acquisition" by Canva.
