Apple performs poorly at giving you choice by... making something different to everyone else? Do you understand what choice means?
- amelius 3y agoYes locking products down means less freedom and less choice. And this is made worse by Apple buying up their supply chain and precious slots at semiconductor foundries. Not everybody is an average consumer looking for average products. But these products are using precious resources and outcompete more generally useful products just by market volume. Apple is behind the hardware version of Eternal September. First the internet got spoiled by the masses, and now our hardware too.
