The Dichotomy of Engineering for Creativity
- paxsonsa 3y agoI have been working in VFX/Games/Design for over a decade and recently felt the urge to put all the things I have learned so far about building products for creative endeavours into a post. Building tools for creative endeavors is a unique challenge. It is a place where rigorous engineering meets the boundless creative process. The inherent contrasts and complementary forces between the systematic approach of engineering processes and the inherently chaotic nature of the creative process is a unique dichotomy that I love being in the midst of.
