Prompt 3
- jicea 3y agoPricing is very interesting: - Subscription $19.99 USD/year, cancel anytime - One-time purchase for $99.99 USD With a 7-days free trial, iOS and macOS apps, I find it fair and for everybody's taste!
- mattl 3y agoBeen using it for a few weeks, and it's great. I already used Prompt 2 on my iPhone and iPad but it's been nice using it on my Mac too.
- st3fan 3y agoWhy not just type “ssh” in a terminal window?
- mattl 3y agoThis is a terminal emulator. There's one that ships with macOS, but not with iOS or iPadOS... so this app provides that. As for what it does better: it syncs up the list of sites I connect to via SSH, it also supports mosh and other things. So yes, I can still type `ssh` into a terminal emulator like this, but I can also just double click on a server I frequently use and it'll connect me, via a jumphost if needed...
- joezydeco 3y agoI love the Apple Jonathan in that landing page. Panic rocks.

- mayoff 3y agoI used Prompt 2 for a while, but switched to Secure Shellfish because - Shellfish can act as a file provider using SFTP, meaning it shows up in the Files app and in the document UI of other apps. - Shellfish supports port forwarding. As far as I can tell, Prompt 3 still doesn’t support either of those features. Added bonus: Shellfish lifetime unlock is only $30, compared to Prompt 3’s $100.
- voltaireodactyl 3y agoSame journey here. Shellfish is frankly unbelievably well done.
- bronzi 3y agoability to remap hardware keyboard keys and key combinations ala Blink would be great
