Nuclear will continue to be viable in denser areas, with lower solar resources, and when you want to get a lot of production closer to large population. There's a reason there are so many nuclear plants in the Northeast Corridor (Boston to Washington area), and so many fewer in the southwest, and I imagine that this trend will continue.
