- abedmously 3y agoBest country to hire remote engineers from? India? Nope. Ukraine? Nope. USA? Nope. Pakistan? Nope. Vietnam? Nope. It's the Philippines I was shocked as well. Here are the reasons: 1) They have amazing technical talent. 2) The talent supply is one of the highest, which makes it easy to find and convert talent. 3) They have a very good English speaking level. 4) They are culturally connected to the West, making many of them have a high cultural fit. 5) An average engineer earns around $22,000 a year, which is one of the lowest in the world.
