Microsoft unveils a new finetuned model for Copilot's Balanced: "Deucalion"
- ncr100 3y ago/jk Definitions .. first for a root of the word: > Deucalion -> deuce-a-lion -> deuce = https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/deuce https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/deuce definition #4 = "informal : the fecal matter expelled during one bowel movement—usually used in the phrase, drop a deuce" I'm used to Microsoft coopting common everyday words, like "Word" for instance, or "Explorer", "Windows". But "deuce" .. is a surprise. Another definition for the full word: > Deucalion - the Son of Prometheus, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deucalion https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deucalion "He is closely connected with a flood myth in Greek mythology." Microsoft here evokes a disaster-creator, in this time of climate change and worries of AIs being misused, which is disturbing to me.
