Agreed. I really don’t understand how upset people are. Do you think they want to give you a free AI service? From a business perspective, AI is an opportunity for a brand new revenue stream. It’s certainly not free for the company to develop and operate either. Clearly, JetBrains wasn’t foolish enough to secretly send your data to their servers either. If they ever do in the future, bring out all the pitch forks. Until then, it seems like people are just scrambling for something to be upset about for no reason other than it’s something they can discuss on HN.
