I always shutdown my machine at night and sometimes restart when I leave for lunch. I've noticed running Docker and other apps for a while makes my machine slower. I'm convinced there's a memory leak somewhere and restarting away fixes those issues.
- Too 3y agoRestart the computer on a daily basis? Like it’s 1998? You need a different system man. Ubuntu can go strong for a month easily, with only sleep for leaving it unused. Only reason for restarts is security updates or that your battery ran totally dry.
