What (not) to do and when you consider adding new tools to your tech stack

- api 3y agoDoes it bind me to an ecosystem or worse a single provider? Is there a SaaS cost bomb hidden in it somewhere? Is it simple and well designed or will it be a complexity and therefore time sink? Does its addition evolve the product toward where we want it to go? Does it add cognitive load by adding languages, platforms, processes, etc and if so does the benefit outweigh this?
