One note on Subaru, you might be putting a quart of oil in every 1,000 miles after 100,000 miles. Certain models burn ungodly amounts of oil.
I don’t drive Subarus now due to the above, I switched to Toyota.
- bsenftner 3y agoThe 2014 models are the last year Subaru had oil leakage issues. Looks like the 2015-'16 models are the sweet spot, as '17 is when they went with the rest of the industry and added Internet, app capability and all that nonsense.
- quickthrowman 3y agoAh, that makes sense. The Foresters I owned were 2002 and 2010. Everything else about those cars was great, glad they got the oil burning issue fixed. Thanks for clarifying!
- alphabettsy 3y agoThe internet stuff doesn’t work anymore on those afaik. It’s based on 3G cellular which doesn’t exist anymore.
- Kon-Peki 3y agoIf you’re going to do that, you might as well limit yourself to the 3.6R - it includes the “heavy duty” version of the transmission.
