- dreamcompiler 3y agoCALL and RET are just JMPs that automatically keep track of return locations using a stack. But... --You don't have to use a stack. A stack is a convenient data structure for this purpose, but there are other ways to do it. --You don't even need to keep track of return points at all. That's what continuations are about: Nothing ever returns.
