Well the ironic part is that their SNP array now would be fairly effective because genome imputation using 1k genomes etc has gotten so good. But now WGS is cheap enough that the value prop of using imputation is getting more and more marginal.
- dekhn 3y agoit makes me so glad to hear that, because my first reaction (well over a decade ago) to people using arrays and imputation is: they data is there, why are you estimating it probabilistically (realistically, at the time, whole genomes cost too much, and scientists iwll always do short term probabilistic estimation to get an approximate answer quickly.
