To be fair, in this case, time makes way more sense. I need to know when to leave to get there in time for my flight, and I don't care about the actual distance.
- chii 3y agoAnd this is only because modern tech has made distance a moot point - we can travel _any_ distance these days, up to the moon (it's all a matter of just cost). But EV's have upended that - distance matters with EV.
- cozzyd 3y agothe time can vary by a factor of 2-3 depending on traffic and travel mode, but the distance does not...
- standardUser 3y agoGoogle Maps solved this problem a while ago.
- maccard 3y agoI live about 9 miles from the airport (Edinburgh), but that is going through the city centre. If I take my city bypass, it's 20 miles. Depending on time of day, the bypass is often quicker.
