Show HN: I created a SaaS with Htmx and Django back end (nicecv.online)
I've build this site and I'm looking for feedback.
The site is a web application to create nice formatted CV from multiple templates. This templare are written in LaTex.

- freetonik 3y agoCongrats on the launch! How's your experience with HTMX been? I love that library and am using it in my new project as well. Some feedback: It'd be nice to see a few examples of resulting CVs quickly. Or perhaps some pre-populated templates ready to be edited. The one image on the front page is not too appealing to be honest, and the templates that are visible on the builder page are empty unless I invest a lot of time into populating the fields. Also the wizard feels a bit janky (at least on Firefox). The forms are jumping and changing size on mouse hover, which is a bit disorienting. Hope that helps.
- nknealk 3y agoIf you’re open to it, can you share what resources you used to learn Django and htmx?
- winrid 3y agoThe Django docs are all you need. ChatGPT can help too.
- quickthrower2 3y agoWhat is your deployment setup like? Installing it all yourself on a VM, or using something more managed?
- winrid 3y agoPersonally, I have my own service I created for CI that builds and deploys my projects directly on VMs. But you can package a Django app in docker and deploy on Fargate etc.
