- phendrenad2 3y agoI notice that some games on itch.io are able to capture the down arrow key and stop it from scrolling the page (ex.: https://elastiskalinjen.itch.io/oh-high https://elastiskalinjen.itch.io/oh-high).

- LoveMortuus 3y agoI think your suggest would be much better, because the way it's titled right now ("Pokemon prototype game made with JavaScript and p5.js") sounds like it's an official Pokemon project, but it still in the prototype/alpha phase.
- ludston 3y agoCopyright/trademark infringement though.
- whateveracct 3y agoCan probably rip out the engine and create new mons at least. Take the same formulas, rename the types and statuses, come up with new things, copy moves, etc That's my plan at least.
- affgrff2 3y agoWould be interesting to do it with gen ai. If the author would add a suitable license, I might give that a shot.
- whateveracct 3y agoMaybe for some inspiration, but to get a really nice metagame (potential to inspired by classic formats like gen 1/2/3), I think it'll be pretty manual to get something fun to play.

- saghm 3y agoOuch, giving me only a Blastoise with Tackle and three water type moves and an opponent with a Venusaur is just mean. I know those are probably the default moves for a Blastoise at that level but there are plenty of other pokemon to put in the sample battle instead...
- modeless 3y agoI like https://familiars.io https://familiars.io, shows how you can do your own version with different art and characters that's still fun.

- tjungblut 3y agoGameboy was THE mobile first platform when pokemon first came out. I see no issues here.
