Lawyers will ensure at any cost that AI does not make their field redundant; I wonder if tech workers will be as smart.
- krapp 3y agoNeither lawyers nor tech workers will be the ones making that decision. Tech workers threatened to quit en masse and hold the economy hostage to prevent return to work policies from going forward. All that happened is a few tech workers lost their job and the rest were just ordered to get back to work. They don't have the power they think they do.
- drekk 3y agoTraditionally tech workers and lawyers have been careers with incredibly low union membership. Very much an example of the "labor aristocracy" that companies and the government seem to be proletarianizing at their own risk.
