- youngNed 3y agoI put it in vscode, to see if it was better than copilot. 10 minutes in I was literally swearing at it, and I don't remember rage-uninstalling something so fast. I don't particularly like copilot either, but I can work with it. Chatgpt, despite me only using it through the Web interface, is so much better than both of these, it's scary.

- huevosabio 3y agoGive Cursor a try, it's a fork of vscode and basically brings gpt 4 into the editor. Really lovely experience.
- solardev 3y agoWhy do you need to fork vscode for this? Wouldn't an extension work?
- muzani 3y agoCopilot seems like 2 generations older than ChatGPT 4. It's like comparing Windows XP to Windows 95. They're built off the same engine.
- magic_man 3y agoIt's pretty terrible especially for programming. I don't how it got good scores on whatever benchmark they did.

- nicbou 3y agoI have so little trust in Google that I didn’t even bother reading about it. Few companies have so thoroughly erased my trust in anything they build.
- I_am_tiberius 3y agoI wouldn't trust OpenAI either. By default, their settings are so that they are allowed to use all your prompt entries for training. If you disable it, you disable the storage of you prompts at the same time as well. If that isn't evil, I don't know what is.
- ay18 3y agoWhy are you worried about them training on your prompts? What kind of information are sending them that makes the tradeoff of having the world's information accessible through natural language not worth it?

- solardev 3y agoDear ChatGPT, Today I hung out with my new friend Gemini. They were pretty cool, but don't worry, you're still my favorite! Maybe someday we can all be friends. That would be nice.
- I_am_tiberius 3y agoDoes someone know if you are logged in to all your Google accounts if logging on Gemini AI? That sort of thing prevented me from having a youtube account.
