Aren't all current machine learning approaches statistical approaches using Bayesian estimation?
- dpflan 3y agoWhat do you mean by “current”?
- kevindamm 3y agoNot really.. they're often statistically based, but don't need to use Bayes' Theorem or be based on a Bayes Network. They are driven by expectation maximization and stochastic gradient descent, mainly. An autodifferentiation back-propagates the parameter update through a neural network model, but the network doesn't necessarily represent a Bayes Network.
