Ask HN: Are companies taking longer to extend offers?
- a_lifters_life 3y agoI've gone on interviews for about a month, and many of them panel interviews. The panel interviews sometimes get back right away, but just got done another yesterday and I havent heard one way or the other..? Curious on others recent experiences
- joezydeco 3y agoGetting an offer through the pipeline this time of year is very difficult. Everyone is leaving for holidays in random patterns and trying to get approvals and signoffs is hard.
- a_lifters_life 3y agohmm, if that is the case - why would companies be having me do 5 rounds each with 1-2 people on each round?
- joezydeco 3y agoBecause not all of them are in the office at the same time. And they're disorganized. And probably asking you the same questions over and over, right? That should be a huge factor in your decision.

- joezydeco 3y agoA comapny should be showing you their best face to get you to join. It's a two way street. If they're this messed up just setting up an interview cycle, it will not be any better once you start working there. In fact, it usually gets worse.
