All the passengers routes I was on as a child are gone, replaced by industrial transport. Used to be able to get to a lot of places - at least on the West Coast (ie Vancouver to Prince George, Vancouver to Calgary etc). I know the Royal Hudson (BC coast, Vancouver to Whistler (at least) retired years ago and is a museum just in Squamish. I rode that one as a child, too...
