I mean, he did... Scroll down and read the rest of his tweets on the thread.
- dekhn 3y agoFrom what I can see of his additional tweets they don't make any further coherent argument. I understand the substance of his underlying argument, and if he truly wanted to be effective, he wouldn't be doing so with the way he's approaching this, which is to be unnecessarily vague and inflammatory. It doesn't help that twitter is such a poor communication medium, especially prone to misunderstanding. If he wanted to have the greatest impact, a reasonable approach would be to write an articulate argument in a non-inflammatory way in the form of an opinion article in the New York Times. Why? Because the Times is the mouthpiece of the US establishment, and reaches precisely the community that he wishes he could influence. And because by making it non-inflammatory, and instead fact-based and logical, people will have a much harder time dismissing it. If you are powerful and truly want change, you owe it to yourself to use your big brain to come up with an mechanism to effect that change. Sitting around shit-talking on your overpriced social media site is not that mechanism.
- photochemsyn 3y agoI saw similar kinds of inflammatory rhetoric as you're generating here during the Serbian-Croatian conflict in 1998. It always reminded me of this. Are you the one riding the horsie? https://www.henrirousseau.net/images/famous/war.jpg https://www.henrirousseau.net/images/famous/war.jpg
- quantified 3y agoWhat inflammatory rhetoric are you referring to?
- anigbrowl 3y agoI had hoped you could respond with something better than 'no u' but apparently I set my expectations too high.
- anigbrowl 3y agoI did read that, and it's garbage, a pile of self-pitying whining about how the ADL made him feel bad ( and I am not a fan of the ADL for a variety of reasons). I think you understand perfectly well that my suggestion is to lead off with the thoughtful argument, not to massively amplify racist bullshit and then add a cherry on top of the turd.
- hackerlight 3y agoHe agreed with someone Nazi posting, then "clarified" later by saying it's not all Jews, just the ADL and many other Jews. All the while, Nazis are salivating in the comments and his post is being shared around Nazi forums in celebration. It's disgusting. Even if I extend the biggest benefit of the doubt to Musk himself via mental gymnastics, what he's doing and has been doing to encourage Nazis is reckless and damaging to our society.
