      Holy hell you're right. It's turtles all the way down. In the context of the matrix, did the machines, who Took over the world from the humans and invented the matrix with it's downwards falling green Japanese letters, did they steal lava lamps as inspiration to creating this dreamlike universe to placate there organic batteries, the humans?
