Were the claims about some new snapdragon chip potentially beating M3 true?

Geekbench 6 Multi Core X: 15,130 M3: 11,700 But the Snapdragon is more of a M3 Pro/Max competitor so it's not a fair comparison yet.
- UncleOxidant 3y agoAnyone planning to put the Snapdragon into a laptop?
- lern_too_spel 3y agoThe Snapdragon in the 23W configuration is an M3 competitor, and it scored 13,845.
- MBCook 3y agoI was trying to look this up the other day. Is that 23 W for just the CPU or the CPU plus the GPU? Because I think the CPU side of the M3 uses much less power, which may explain the difference. But since I couldn’t figure out how the snapdragon power draw was measured I didn’t know if that was the case here or not.
- lern_too_spel 3y agoCPU plus GPU. The other configuration was 80W for both, which is comparable to M2 Max.
- alphabettsy 3y agoUsing 4 more cores at 12 vs 8 for the M3 it appears to beat the M2 & M3. Arriving in products mid next year it’ll likely be up against the M4 very quickly into its lifecycle. Regardless, I’m excited for some competition.
