- bhouston 3y agoThey stopped that practice in this war.
- DoreenMichele 3y agoFrom the wikipedia piece linked to by the person to whom you are replying: Roof knocking occurred during some strikes in the October 2023 Gaza−Israel conflict. And it links to a piece describing the conflict that began October 7th.
- bhouston 3y agoI don't know what the situation is since I am not in Gaza, but this CNN article I read early says that it was abandoned recently: https://www.cnn.com/middleeast/live-news/israel-hamas-war-gaza-10-10-23/h_d39b6c124285f924eb81d4807a77ce68 https://www.cnn.com/middleeast/live-news/israel-hamas-war-ga...
- DoreenMichele 3y agoAh, okay, so they stopped it sometime after this conflict began. Thank you.
- mcpackieh 3y agoI've been watching live webcam footage of Gaza since things started to get hot. I've watched huge bombs level buildings in Gaza out of the blue with no preceding small explosions as warning. Whatever the IDF may say, they aren't "roof knocking".
- catlover76 3y agoDude, why would you watch something like that? I'm not accusing you of being perverse or anything, but what is your motivation and your reasoning?
- jacquesm 3y agoI used to do this, no longer because I don't have the stomach for it, but live cameras were my bread and butter for a long time and some of them were in conflict regions. I found that what I saw with my own eyes wasn't always what was reported in the news.
- GloomyBoots 3y agoI used to do it regularly with major events. Set up streams of multiple live sources and just watch things play out. You get a very different perspective on things than if you watch the handful of clips and images that get replayed constantly on the news.
- solarpunk 3y agothat doesn't sound like a well established way to communicate "leave this shelter".
