I think another way of looking at it is, we know how much we're wasting in healthcare. How much more effective could the economy be if we actually wrung out some efficiencies and took the profit out of keeping people alive I would be curious how much the productivity increase from people being less sick, and the increase in personal spending and investment would offset the profits of leaches like private insurance companies
