- 1123581321 3y agoThat is not true. There are five specific exemptions. Communications (forum posts, emails, etc.) are largely covered by the first. There are many misinformed users and examples of small forums being frightened into deleting beyond what is required, which makes it seem like right to erasure extends further than it does. – exercising the right of freedom of expression and information. – compliance with a legal obligation. – for certain reasons of public interest in the area of public health. – for archiving purposes in the public interest, scientific or historical research purposes, or certain statistical purposes. – for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims. CCPA's exemptions are similar.
