I thought the basis of gin was juniper berries, not elderberries (although you can make elderberry gin in the same way as sloe gin)
- dylan604 3y agoThe "good stuff" is made with juniper berries. Gin can be made from whatever is around.
- gandalfian 3y agoThe traditional basis of gin is basic industrial alcohol. The berries are just the flavouring.
