I got mine on launch. The issue is that people were skipping the update which in some cases caused transferring to fail. I'm not sure how people managed to skip since it's heavily suggested as part of the setup, but maybe people are in a rush.

When you get a new phone you wanna play with it right away. The update can wait until Nighttime
