First of all, does anyone know if there's a flag that just turns off work-stealing? Seems like you could then decide for yourself how you want Tokio in particular to work. Second, the send + sync thing seems onerous, but from my POV you are encouraged to only pass little messages on channels anyway. I find it easier to just not share anything. If two things need the same structure, they can both subscribe to the ring that gets the messages, and each construct the object for themselves. I find if you have a bunch of Arc<RwLock<>> something is wrong. YMMV.
