I learned how to use Linux in 2003, I'm a developer, but I keep using windows, mainly because some software don't have good enough Linux alternatives: paint.net, foobar2000, avidemux, and some games.
I have to admit that I want to switch because ads in windows is something I cannot accept, and other things.
I really postponed because I was lazy, and because double boot was never perfect.
- hyperman1 3y agoFor paint.net, might I suggest krita? My biggest hole is a decent notepad++ replacement. Between vi/emacs as the ancients, kate/gedit as the desktop environment include, and vscode/idea/eclipse, there is a hole for a modern, fast, powerfull text editor. I hope notepadqq shapes up, but they still have some way to go.
