Oops Google Search caught publicly indexing users’ conversations with Bard AI
- HJain13 3y agoThese links were probably shared to a site that was crawled by Google and indexed. I don't think this can happen with your personal queries shared with friends or in a closed circle.

- dang 3y agoCould you please stop posting unsubstantive comments and flamebait? You've unfortunately been doing it repeatedly. It's not what this site is for, and destroys what it is for. If you wouldn't mind reviewing https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html and taking the intended spirit of the site more to heart, we'd be grateful.

- ncr100 3y agoReaction: Whomever works in PRODUCT at Google has egg on their face. An interesting idea: One could use this feature, and the special site:https://bard.google.com/share https://bard.google.com/share URL (or https://duckduckgo.com/?t=ffab&q=site%3Ahttps%3A%2F%2Fbard.google.com%2Fshare&ia=web https://duckduckgo.com/?t=ffab&q=site%3Ahttps%3A%2F%2Fbard.g...) to have Bard host arbitrary conversations. EDIT Found some cyber-stalking / self-investigation... * https://bard.google.com/share/24802050c1d2 https://bard.google.com/share/24802050c1d2
- bionhoward 3y agoBard isn’t being taken seriously by google and it shows, which is alarming since this is their apparent strategy to deal with LLMs. If I was in charge of that project and I chatted with Bard on launch day, then I would never have made it public because it’s too embarrassingly stupid (!) of an Intelligence model to be ready. Not even alpha or beta!!!
