1 - HDMI cable does the trick 2 - This until recently was not a problem if you had signal. 3 - Syncthing. it costs $0. 4 - iMessage ? You have to pick your poison, but a phone that actively forces you to update AND also blocks 3rd party apps from running AND forces proprietary cables that no other consumer device uses... seems like a nonstarter for me.
