- altairprime 3y agoThunderbolt certification is mandatory, not optional as it is with USB, to be permitted to use the Thunderbolt logo on your connectors. - pchangr 3y agoThunderbolt 3 has to give up to 15 watts of power delivery on copper cables, anything beyond that is out of scope for the standard.
