Ask HN: As a founder do you take one or two days off a week?
- vb-8448 3y agoIf you look for a good work/life balance, I think it's more important to have strict rules during the single day, like "don't work after dinner" or "do sport just after wake up".
- rrmdp 3y agoWithout taking days off?
- vb-8448 3y agoMay be once or twice per month to full relax, but it depends a lot on your needs and family situation. For example, if you have kids, things change a lot. But in general, dedicate 3 hours per day to anything except your work, it's more valuable than 21 hours during a weekend.
- gregjor 3y agoWhat does “as a founder” have to do with it? New species of human? Founder or just regular person, we all need time off from work. How much and when will vary by person and the requirements of the job. As the “founder” of a solo freelance business I try to take weekends off but sometimes I have to get some work done.
- rrmdp 3y agoMeans people that tend to push over the limit to achieve the goals. Commonly at a 9-5 job you take weekends off Thus the reason of "founders" in the question.
- nikonyrh 3y agoLike, in addition to weekends?
- rrmdp 3y agoNope, altogether
