What about Professor John Meersheimer?
How's the war going? Didn't the NYT and all the other main stream media say Ukraine was winning all along. "The counter offensive, the counter offensive". How's that counter offensive going?

- nradov 3y agoThe counter offensive seems to be going reasonably well. The Ukrainian forces are taking heavy losses but still advancing and taking back territory.
- tharmas 3y agoI disagree that it is "going reasonably well". If you look at the headlines for this search: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=ukrainian+counter+offensive+failure&t=brave&ia=web https://duckduckgo.com/?q=ukrainian+counter+offensive+failur... it suggests that even the US Govt is not rosy on the outcome nor is the main-stream media.
- nradov 3y agoUkraine controls more territory now than a few months ago. It takes some real spin to characterize that as a "failure". The mainstream media has never been an accurate source of information about military matters, so I don't know why you would even mention that.
- knowaveragejoe 3y agoIt was never going to be easy, and certainly not a stomping like desert storm or anything like that. I think people's expectations of a dramatic sweep of Russia's entrenchment are at issue with the reality of two near-peer conventional forces squaring off.
